A one-of-a-kind piece of Padre Island, transformed into wearable art.

Golden Tides began with a beautiful natural Atlantic Calico Scalop shell discovered on Big Shell Beach at Padre Island, Texas. Its warm honey-gold and creamy natural bands create a striking pattern that feels like the movement of ocean tides captured in a shell.

The shell has been carefully polished to reveal its natural glossy beauty and finished with a silver-tone bail and a 20-inch silver-plated chain. No two natural shells have exactly the same colors, markings, or shape, making this necklace truly one of a kind.

I love creating jewelry from pieces found in nature because they carry a story—the place where they were discovered, the textures shaped by the sea, and the beauty that already existed before the piece became jewelry.

The pendant is made from a natural striped shell collected on Padre Island. Its distinctive horizontal bands and warm golden tones give it the appearance of gentle ocean tides.

Because this is a natural shell, subtle variations, markings, and imperfections are part of its character and are not considered flaws.

This shell traveled from the beach to my studio, where I transformed it into a simple piece of wearable art while preserving the character that made me choose it in the first place.
